Meet Dr. Ruth Hitchcock
Hi, I’m Dr. Ruth Hitchcock and have had the privilege of providing chiropractic care to families for over 29 years. I graduated with a Kinesiology degree from the University of Waterloo, and then went to Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College where I graduated from in 1990. I practiced in Collingwood Ontario, a ski town 2 hours north west of Toronto, for 25 years before moving to Winnipeg.
Since moving to Winnipeg I have had the opportunity to work in many communities in and around Winnipeg as a locum chiropractor. I am excited to now be part of the Charleswood community.
A firm believer in life-long learning I continue to study health and healing so I can provide the most up to date care. I have a special interest working in Pediatrics and Pregnancy Care, and am just completing the International Chiropractic Pediatric Certification Program. This 2 year program is designed to expand my professional ability in adjusting techniques, evaluation and assessment of different stages of development: from pregnancy, birth, infancy and throughout childhood. I am also certified as Nutritional Health coach with an emphasis on hormone health. I enjoy working with the very young to the very old.
I believe in giving back to the community. I was an active supporter and promoter of the Chiropractic profession in Ontario, and continue to be actively involved with the Manitoba Chiropractic Association. I have been involved with the Winnipeg Harvest, and sit on the committee for the the Linden Woods Fall Classic.
When I am not in the office I can be found spending time with my husband, Scott and our 2 daughters. In our spare time we are involved with skiing, hockey, music, dance, hiking, camping, running and cycling. We love the outdoors and enjoy being active.
I am passionate about Chiropractic and the role it plays in supporting people to live an active and healthy life. I am excited to help people in the Charleswood community reach their health goals and support them in leading a healthier life.
